PACFA September Update

Call for Abstracts – Conference 2014

PACFA is pleased to announce that we are co-hosting a conference in Sydney from June 13 to 15 2014, with the Australian Association of Relationship Counsellors (AARC) and the Counselling and Psychotherapy Association of NSW (CAPA NSW).  The conference theme is Complexity and Connectedness in Life & Love: Working with trauma, mental health & identity.

The Call for Abstracts has now been released, seeking presenters for the conference, and can be downloaded from the PACFA website. The due date for abstracts is Monday 2nd December 2013.  Please consider submitting an Abstract. Presenting at the conference is a great opportunity for practitioners and researchers to contribute to learning within our profession and to showcase your work.

Please also  put the date for the conference in your diary and we look forward to seeing you there.

Call for Tenders – Practical Ethics for Counsellors and Psychotherapists

PACFA is calling for Tenders for experienced educators interested in developing a new course on ethics titled Practical Ethics for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

The course will be a 6-hour course delivered in both face-to-face and online delivery modes. The successful tenderer will develop the course in both delivery modes and will deliver the pilot for the online course. To be considered, tenders must be received by 28 October 2013. If this opportunity interests you, please download the Call for Tenders document from the PACFA website.

In 2014, PACFA will have a separate Call for Expressions of Interest to identify practitioners from PACFA Member Associations to deliver the face-to-face version of the course in each state and Territory in Australia.
